College of Southern Nevada: The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) offers comprehensive dental hygiene education through its Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene program, as well as two bachelor’s degrees in the field.

Truckee Meadows Community College: Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) in Reno has a highly respected Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene program. With only 16 students accepted annually, this program is competitive, allowing students to have individualized attention and a higher quality education.

After completing a CODA-accredited program in Nevada, hygienists may register to take the National Board Dental Hygiene Exam. In addition, hygienists must pass a state-approved clinical exam and pass a Nevada Jurisprudence test. Successful completion will earn applicants their license from the Nevada State Dental Health Board to operate legally as licensed hygienists within its borders.
